E Center Head Start
Head Start provides services to children 3-5 years of age through various delivery options.
Children enrolled in the Center Base option attend class four or five days a week for a morning or afternoon session.
Children enrolled in the Full Day option attend class up to five days a week for 6 or more hours a day depending on the needs of the family. This option primarily assists parents in meeting their childcare needs while working or attending classes while furthering their education.
Children enrolled in the Home Base option are assigned a family educator. The Family Educator visits each family once a week for 1 1/2 hours. The parent is the primary focus of the home base option and works directly with the child. Parents and preschool age children attend socializations every other week for 3 1/2 hours with other Head Start families.
The Combination option combines center base and home base services. Children age 3 or 4 attend class three days a week and receive a home visit once a month.
