E Center Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC)
California WIC services are available during the COVID-19 pandemic. To protect all families and staff, E Center WIC offices are only offering services by phone until further notice. We have procedures to help you get WIC and stores continue to accept the WIC Card for food. Call your local WIC office for assistance, please be patient we will contact you as soon as possible. California Department of Public Health WIC is closely monitoring the situation and will share information as it becomes available.
For existing participants, your WIC benefits will be added to your WIC card remotely. WIC staff may call you to confirm information about your account, if you have any questions please call us. We continue to accept new applicants during this time.

Who is WIC for?
- Women who are pregnant, breastfeeding or recently had a baby
- Infants under 12 months old
- Children under 5 years old
- Families with a low to medium income; working families may qualify.
- Migrant families

How long can I stay on WIC?
If you continue to meet the income guidelines, you may stay on WIC
For Women:
- If breastfeeding, until one year after your baby is born
- If not breastfeeding, until six months after birth or pregnancy loss
For Infants and Children:
- Through the month your child reaches his or her fifth birthday
¿Por cuánto tiempo me puedo quedar en WIC?
Si continua cumpliendo con las pautas de ingresos y de medical, usted puede permanecer en WICPara Mujeres:

What are my rights on the WIC Program?
Fair Treatment
- WIC treats everybody the same regardless of religion, ancestry, political affiliation, medical condition, marital status, sexual orientation, race, color, national origin, disability or gender
- You can ask for a fair hearing if you do not agree with a decision about your WIC eligibility
Common Courtesy and Confidentiality
- WIC will treat you with courtesy and respect
- You will have the right to be treated with courtesy and respect by the employees at your grocery store
- WIC will keep private (confidential) all information you provide.

What should I do to help the WIC Program work for me?
Buy WIC Approved Foods
- Use your WIC Card at WIC approved grocery stores
- Buy only the foods listed in the food buying guide on the App
- Use the foods only for the person on the program
- Do not sell or trade your WIC foods
Keep WIC Appointments
- Come to your appointments or call ahead when you need to reschedule
- Always bring your CA WIC Card or ID to all WIC appointments
Provide Truthful and Current Information
- Report any changes in your income, family size, address, phone or eligibility for Medi-Cal or CalWORKs
Be Courteous
- Treat WIC and grocery store staff with courtesy and respect
- Do not harm or threaten to physically harm anyone in the WIC office or grocery store

**Unborn children should be counted in family total. Example: Pregnant woman with a single unborn child should be counted as two (2) in family unit. Pregnant woman with two unborn children (twins) should be counted as three (3).
